Space is cold. Fission reactors need to be constantly cooled. So isn’t that a perfect environment for nuclear power? Put a sterling engine on it. If you can’t consume all the power generated just open the door to space to vent more heat off. Need more power, seal up the insulation tighter and let the sterling engine ramp up.
